Discovering your potential

Everyone has potential. But the question is, do you know your potential?  Potential is something that can lead to something big. Means you have something to start with and start from. Some will say it’s a natural gift that you just have to develop.  You need willpower and firm determination to get to see what you are good at. Like athletes, they have to train day in and day out so that their potential can be developed and turn into something great!

Bringing potential to action:

  1. Self searching. Find the inner you. Everyone is unique. You have something special that is within you, that is screaming to be out.  Let your desire be heard, don’t let the world dictate who and what you are, you create your own world.
  2. Decide now. There are people who know their potential but they procrastinate because there are other things that are important.  Don’t decide later, as your energy won’t be the same tomorrow.
  3. Set up milestones.  Setting your goal is good, but you have to start somewhere.  Getting started is not easy as to where to begin and how to get started.  Break it all down into pieces. It is like eating a whole pizza, you have to start with the first bite.
  4. Be accountable. Accountability within yourself is important. What you accomplish from yesterday has to be better today. Write every milestone you accomplished so you can see your progress.
  5. Failure is good. Look at your failure as an opportunity not difficulty.  Without failures, you can’t build a better you. Failure should always propel you to be better every time.  Always remember, focus on the price.
  6. Celebrate every small win or progress. Little or big always reward yourself.  It will allow you to rejuvenate and re-energize by recognizing your accomplishments.

Don’t look at what you have, look at what you can have.  Every successful person does not look at what they have, but look at the potential of who they can become.  Don’t look at your current circumstances. Use your current situation as your motivation and encouragement. You are potential, you are power, if you want to be!
