The season of change in your mind

  • By Professor Allen Mallari
  • In Life

Do you even wonder when is it going to end when it’s problem after problem.  We have a saying when it rains in pours.  In life, you have to be aware of your season. There is a time and a season for everything. A time to be born, a time to die, a time for peace, a time for war, a time to laugh and a time to mourn.

Each season has to come to pass, but is it also in your mind?  Because for some people, winter is over, but still wearing winter jackets during the summer.  We need to be able to know when those seasons change in our life.

The season in your mind needs to adapt to change of thoughts and thinking. The Summer season brings happiness and the brightness of it, you can see the beauty of creation as you can go out and even smell the roses; the Autumn or fall brings pain; when you are suffering as if it never ends, Winter brings self-reflection, you are in a transition and the Spring brings an opportunity for learning and cultivating what you need to develop.

We transition our mind to that nature. Each season is temporary and always ends and starts anew again. Don’t even look at life as unfair and you can’t control it. Because while you are in whatever season, you have to be ready for transition.

What to do when in season or your season is about to change:

  1. You need to be aware when the season changes. Don’t get caught off guard as you don’t know what’s coming.
  2. Dictate what kind of response you are in that season. Maybe you are in the autumn season where you can’t avoid certain circumstances, but take control.
  3. Grow your understanding and know your limits. Some people, while in a certain season, don’t even know when to stop and be still. Never be moved until you know your next move, as it will cost you.
  4. Stand your ground. No matter what season you are in, if you know where you stand, nothing and no one can pluck you out. Never allow the circumstances and situations to move you. Emotions are easy to lure you in and gravitate you to it. Don’t let your emotions derail you from your destination.
  5. Set your mind on the price.  No matter what season you might be in, don’t let it deter you from your purpose.  Your purpose sets the goal on how to get there. Get there and enjoy every season.

The very true reason we need each season is to learn, grow ourselves and teach others. Each passing season is for us to learn and be transformed. It is psychological awareness where you can transition from season to season. Once you experience the season, the question to you is, have you felt success in it?
