Riding the wave of life.
Balancing life is hard.
Either you are riding on it not in it. Drowning in life means you don’t know who you are. In life there is laughter, happiness, sadness and teaWavers. But with all this, you are in control even if it seems you are not. I’m not a surfer, but as I watch them, they inspire me to compare life, how they face each wave. Each wave comes in different sizes. The waves are driven by the wind. The wind draws out the waves. From the wave it creates current, and the current creates energy that pushes the surfer. Then the surfer gets to ride the wave. If you are a beginner, you’ll ride any wave, or sometimes not even ride at all. But once you are good at it, you get to pick your wave.
When you practice, I say it again “practice”, you develop a mental skill of balancing, then after you develop a skill of avoiding the waves that you don’t want to ride, and when you ride the wave you pick, you stir the board to where you want it to go.
Here are some tips on how to ride the wave of life:
- Learn to balance. In life, you have to balance everything. From eating, dieting, working, relationship, career, school, parenting or just doing what you do.
- Know how to use hand and feet coordination. Bad habits are hard to get rid off, but by practicing and doing good will soon break it.
- Evaluate the size of the wave. Sometimes we don’t know how big or small it is, until you are in it. But you can always measure it, from the way you are carrying it.
- Pick yourself up when you fall. When in the water, sometimes or more often than not, you fail, but learn to get back up again.
- Learn to surf with others. Learn how to work with others. Each person has a wave to ride, be cautious and learn how to work with them.
It is easy to say, but hard to do. But when you ride the same wave, believe me, it will be much easier. Sometimes riding the wave is bigger than the other. Just make sure you are on top, at the end of the day.
